NB Parking Brake Release Button

Does anyone know of a source for the release button on the parking brake lever. It is a 1999 NB. The dealer says that the whole lever assembly has to be replaced. All that I need is the button and the silver collar that holds it in place.

No one will have that part. Either repair yours, source a used or new lever assembly.
Haven't seen (read) this issue, but there are are a couple members who have like a half dozen beetles, perhaps someone has made this repair.
