Does anyone know if the RC chips will just plug into the socket already installed on my ECU since I have a Wett chip (since new more than 6 years now)? I did several searches, then emailed and PM'd Jeff with no luck. Just wondering if I would need to send my ECU, or I can just plug and play if I upgrade. Thanks.

I was thinking something similar but I see that he doesn't think the socket/chip setup is good for reliable connections.

It has worked fine for me. The hardest part of the chip swap is removing the ECU. You don't need to send the ecu in if you are just doing the chip and not the AHF euro tuning.

I sent Jeff my ECU with a Wett chip and he had no issues with it. I never cracked mine open to see if you stuck with the daughter board or not. Since I opted for the ASV mod there was no way I could plug in my old Wett or Upsolute chips so I really didn't care what he did as long as it worked. Besides after driving RC I couldn't imagine wanting to go back.
