Cant connect to ecm

Hello there, I've been trying to connect my nexiq to the ecm and my reader won't connect however it is getting power through obd2. Just wondering if there are any suggestions out there .thnx

Has this reader been used against this car successfully in the past? Is it known to connect successfully to other vehicles presently?
