Hey all,
Just thought I'd drop a note and tell folks that I picked up a new TD 2018 Chevrolet Equinox Diesel AWD for about what VW gave me for my Passat TDI. I had to pay sales tax +$1800. I've put 7200 miles on it so far and have almost no complaints, except for the lack of a true manual mode on the transmission, the auto start-stop system on a diesel is ridiculous (and imo dangerous.) Oh, and the transmission shifts like a mush ball from 1 to 2 to 3. But hey, if I can put up with the weird shifting of the DSG of the Passat, which I absolutely love, I can deal with the Equinox.
Anyways just thought I'd drop a line let all know that Equinox/GMC Terrain are affordable diesels that are very flexible vehicles and seem like they are well built.
