Buying a 2014 VW TDI

My neighbor has been very impressed with my 2014 JSW and would love to buy one, but no one is selling except back to VW. So my question is will VW be adding the required emission fix to those vehicles that it buys back and then reselling them, or are they all going to the crusher? It would be a shame to crush all of these fine vehicles if they can be modified to meet current regulations.

Will probably depend n the condition of the car. Some will probably be fixed and resold, but the emphasis will be on getting current owner's cars fixed first (who are keeping them).

2014 models have a good chance of being fixed and re-sold ... eventually. At the moment, VW has not been given approval to do this.

If you can find a 2015 NOS (new old stock), its likely to be priced cheaper than a 2014, used with tens of thousands of miles.
The '15s have $8500 lease discount available. (cheaper to "lease" and buy out, vs the $5k purchase discount)
