Just recently replaced the vacuum tubing from the N75 solenoid to the turbo

actuator thanks to the helpful (Diagnosing and Fixing Limp mode for A4 1.9TDI)

thread. The tubing I used was purchased at a local auto parts store(Armor

Mark/7/64 in. vacuum hose), a rubber hose. One week later I was experiencing

the same Limp Mode symptoms. Today I found the new tubing sheared in half

again about 18 inches from the actuator. This does look more like a windshield

washer tubing. Is the problem that I am not using the correct tubing?

Searching for a better tubing I have found this site:

Just wondering if anyone has had any similar experience with this issue. I did

temporarily fix the "Limp Mode" issue by using a inline connector. With the

tubing hooked up, I can hear the turbo "whine". When disconnected, there is

no turbo "whine" and the engine power is greatly diminished. Thank you...Carl

Use the silicone and clip it in wherever it fits i.e. all the way up the intake pipe.

I know some people seem to like the aftermarket silicone hose.
Personally, I just use the stock replacement stuff- it has always worked well and simple to install for me. Yes, it does fatigue after some years, but easy to replace.

Here's one source, reputable vendor well known in this forum.

3mm vacuum hose (other 5mm vacuum hose appears as link within this page...)

It might depend where you live but any time I've used the stock stuff it's knackered in a year which is why I went with silicone and it's still like new even now, just as stretchy as when I first fitted it.

Thanks for the replies. Will probably have to order as the local auto stores just carry the rubber tubing. I tried pulling the stuff apart, it's tougher than I thought. Wonder if a squirrel was under my car, lot of them around. Carl
