Just purchased a 2015 buyback. 15 K miles DSG Trans. Couldn't wait for a Man.

I'm trying to figure out why the ride sucks. It could be the tires. They are Conti
ProContact TX. They still have plenty of tread left and the pressures are at factory
specs.
I've had Conti's before on my last TDI a 2010 with no issues. They weren't the TX's though.
I also thought I read on a post about bum stop's and removing them maybe?

Thanks ahead for any help.

I test drove one 2017 Jetta (S) (new)

I own a 2015 TDi DSG Golf. (low miles) and I am pleased with the Conti Procontact. I do not know if mine are TX

At one time I was looking for a possible replacement for mine, (if I did a BB)

The Jetta, had a *harder* ride than my 2015 Golf. IMO

I would add, that a new set of tires will surely be a better ride.

I will be looking at Michelin in my future.

Years ago, I was feeling my wife's (80,000 miles) Camry was about shot on the ride. $600 in new shoes and it drove like new again. :D

What size rims?
Are they 16?
Doubt it...bet they have 19....that's gonna be the problem.
Sidewall heights....and I thought SEL was the top TDI trim..not GLI...was under the impression that was a Gasser only trim....
Pretty sure the upper trims got bigger rims to appeal to a certain crowd both in looks and perceived performance gain
Guess it's possible they swapped parts onto/from the car before the buyback...
Seem a few posts here with people trying to pay $$ to swap parts before a BUYBACK...
Maybe look and see if the struts seem as new as the rest of the car....

I have a 2015....SE, decent ride, firm but not punishing or wallowing soft.

I've got an SEL with the 18" rims and I live where every spring, your avoiding potholes.

Every late spring / early summer I take my aluminum rims in to get checked for slight bends, this year there was a dent in one of my rims - the fix + balance ran me about $55. Dealership would charge double that. The shop owner said they see a lot of VW/audi /BMW rims, something about the company using softer aluminum.

Took about 30 minutes and the car definitely rode smoother.
