More on Timing Belt Replacement Interval

A friend asked the major VW/Audi dealer in my area about the timing belt replacement on his 99 NB TDI. The dealer said the interval was 100,000 km for the manual tranny. Sounds like they are rounding up. This is 62,100 miles.

Check around with other dealers. I have to do my 60k km check and TB belt change on my 99 NB TDI. From what the local dealers around here are telling me, its still a 60k item, like it says in the manual.You may also find a variety of prices charged for doing the change too.
