No dyno for me, but I had a great time meeting some of you.
I wanted that Civic SI to play sooo bad.... I really want to know if I can take a 197hp Vtec. The "My car is faster if neither of us downshift" argument is fatally flawed.
It's not that easy to downshift right into the sweet spot without either overshooting or undershooting, and once they hit it, they need to shift again. The fuel filter is new, the fuel temp maxes out around 30C in this weather.. I'd be surprised if it topped 40C n the dyno.. I'm going to run some logs tonight and see if there's something going on with the QA.. It doesn't really make too much sense.. The injection timing maxes out at 21 degrees and pretty much stays there until 5700rpm with the occasional dip to 20 degrees.. I noticed on the drive home that I have absolutely ZERO visible smoke in the upper rpm band, only the initial puff when jumping on it..IndigoBlueWagon said:Fuel temp? Quantity adjuster? nah I don't think that had much to do with anything.. the pipe blew off due to a crappy clamp.. It has stayed on since I moved the clamps around.. Hahaha.....
