Looking for good Mechanic

I am new to this site and still learning about the area in which I live. I know some really good mechanics but none of them work on diesels. I am very frustrated with what I am finding for diesel techs. Does anyone live in the NY NJ PA area that knows where I can find a really good and trustworthy mechanic that has pride in their work. Any info is appreciated.

I used to have this guy in Union Nj do all my maintence and repairs, unfortunately I don't think the shop is open anymore. They changed my timing belt for like $300! He was from russia or the ukraine or somewhere like that. very nice, extremely knowledgeable, trained in germany by vw. I wish i could track him down.... here was his website.
