Will the cruise control stalk and wiring harness from a gas MkIII or B4 work for an AHU? I know the gas versions use vacuum assist while the ECU controls the TDI's. Thanks!

I can't find my shop manual at the moment (that's what I get for cleaning the garage) to look at the wiring diagram and I don't have a TDI cruise/wiper/blinker harness to compare to either. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

My desire is to have my cruise control work when I swap an AHU into a B3. I have a B3 pedal cluster that has been made to accept the potentiometer but I was wondering if its associated brake and clutch switches would allow for the TDI cruise control to work, or is a TDI specific pedal cluster needed?
My donor car was a running but not moving B3 Passat with an AHU swapped in, but it was done somewhat crudely and I'm still trying to figure out what wiring was placed where and I had no way to check if the cruise worked.
Basically my questions is do I need a TDI specific: pedal cluster with its brake and clutch switches, cruise control switch and harness from the switch to the fuse box?
Thanks guys!

I can't give you an affirmative, but I am running a mfa stalk/cruise stalk from a vr6 I believe (to work with my mfa)...

I believe it will. I've been working on a 97 VR6 cruise and I checked out the stalk and it appears to be the same as my B4 (and the replacement 98 jetta stalk I replaced it with).

Awesome, thanks guys! This is great to know, saves me alot of time having to compare wiring diagrams and wiring harnesses etc..!
