hi all,

looking for a solid LED conversion kit for my 17' golf, the halogens are **** and i could use the extra light, especially in the winter when i turns dark at like 4pm

i found recommendations ranging from ebay to amazon all with mixed reviews

anyone have some good recommendations for the brightest lights? according to a site called bestheadlightbulbs, "XenonPro" and "Hikari" are the best options?

any thoughts? experiences?

Lots of opinions and some facts here:

I give it a try with these but I could not make it work with my 2004 Passat (H7 bulb type):

Other potential reputable LED brands here: https://headlightrevolution.com/brands/

I see aftermarket LED lights a little bit similar to COTS (consumer over the counter) Li-Ion batteries. The cheaper you go the more dangerous they become

None. If you put LED's in a Halogen housing you will get poor results that will most likely blind oncoming traffic. For best result look for E-Code LED housings. You have to remember that many times recommendations and reviews are written by imbeciles trying to justify the Chinese garbage they bought and/or shills just trying to sell product.

In fact, you can make money loading up product websites with positive product reviews.

From what I have researched to use an LED bulb in a halogen housing you have to use a single beam build that has the same location as in the halogen bulb. Headlight revolution seems to be one of the few companies that actually know what they are talking about. Check them out.

according to sylvania (https://www.sylvania-automotive.com/apps/vlrg-us/Vlrg/#) i need an h7 for lowbeam

On xenonpro's product page it says i need a "Warning Canceller and Anti-Flicker"? do i really need one or is it just to remove warning? what is this thing it's an extra 15 bucks

"If your vehicle make is in the list below, you must add the Warning Canceller accessory to your order. It is a requirement for your vehicle in order for the kit to install and work properly.

Acura , Audi , BMW , Cadillac , Chevrolet , Chrysler , Dodge , Ford , Honda , Infiniti , Jeep , Lexus , Mercedes , Mitsubishi , Volkswagen , Volvo"

All that glitters is not gold!

Dime a Dozen: Everybody wants H7 LED headlight bulbs today, but for all the wrong reasons. The diverse marketing tactics and the numbers war that's pushed onto ill-advised consumers is only getting more and more amusing to guys like us who actually know better. 100W? 10,000 lumens? Top-secret LED chip formula with seemingly exotic blend of rare materials or fancy coatings? Cool story, bro, but how do they actually work on the road at night? Isn't that what headlights are for? Check out one of our dealer's Comparison Video on YouTube.
