I'm more confused now than I was before about this subject matter. I read the post in here about the independent study done on all the different brands of additives.
So question for y'all. Can I add some biodiesel to my tank each fill up? Assuming I can find some here around Huntsville or Decatur.
If that is a no go, second alternative? I really want to make this TDI to last.
I'm gonna update y'all on my fuel mileage over the weekend or next week.

Get all the maintenance taking care of and running right before looking at any mods.

I have used Power service at every fill up since new. It is cheap insurance from lubricity issues and can be found in all auto stores and Walmart. There are others, but they are more of a pain to find.

2 TDI's for 8yrs and no trouble with engines.

Alabama? I spent some time there contracting. Love the place.

Power Service dosed at what is called out on the bottle is all you need. Bio Diesel? If you can get it works fine as well.

I guess I'm gonna make a road trip to either Birmingham or Chattanooga to pick up some biodiesel in some 5 gallon cans in the next few weeks. I'm gonna use this as additive since I can't find any locally to run straight.
