Which intake is that? Reman. 1.6N/A? I thought a tapered style from cyl. 4 to 1, equal pressure, but may be expensive to build.

vw_nut,

I was needing to know if the disc break conversion needed the master cyl to be different and the proportioning valve was it used? I have found a 86 Jetta GLI with disc would that work on the 81 VW pickup?

Thanks
Chris

Well its been 5 weeks of solid work, i havent had any time to do anything with the truck, my bodyman put me off for 2 weeks, i have all the intercooler plumbing for the water side of it i hope this next week i can breath from work and get back on it, the interior is rolling along, hes working on the dash and seats, and door pannels, when i get the truck painted its going there, its taking longer than i hoped for but the bodyman is very good and i want to use him

Didn't see it in any of your posts. Are you using the Passat steering column? If so much trouble making it fit?

Yeah I have called you a couple of times, no response. Guy called one day looking for a 1.6 for a rabbit. Said you told him to call me. Told the picknpull had one in a caddy. He got them to pull it but then they crushed the truck, crazy dumb people there.Putting a 1.6TD in one of my pickups, have one in another with a GT15 turbo WOW! spools up real quick. I still need to install the 1Z electronic into one of the trucks just not as important as other projects. Bought 2 2000 Jettas, 1 engine 1 body problems. Going to get winshield in one today, that one is almost done. Will start on replacing rings, bearings and head in other. Hope to have them finished before end of the month. Then maybe my truck? But I'm also rebuilding another 1.6TD at a friends house plus working 2 jobs.

Well today i got the PS Resivour and line put in today and connected, i got all the front end parts , the new wheel bearings pressed in, new ball joints, a-arms, tie-rods and got them in...
Sorry, this may be a stupid question, but is redoing the front end like this required when you put in the TDI and the 5 Speed? Or did you just do it because you wanted to install power steering?

Build looks great, can't wait to see it finished...
