HB2211 was heard May 1 in Licensing and Regulation. The bill was substituted but the sub was withdrawn and the original bill was left pending. Please visit the Texas Legislature website at the following address for archived committee testimony on the bill:

HB2211 comes up at 30.30 into the broadcast. Committee members raised important questions and concerns which highlights the problems this bill has.
The bill is being reworked and will most likely be looked at again. There are too many serious problems with this bill to fix this session. It seems only ASA had any input, as TADA and TIAA both testified against the bill as well as several others.
Please continue to call the committee members and voice your concerns about this legislation.
