I have installed rear lip spoiler in my 2011 Jetta TDI and it is 3M tape mount type with out drill holes. wanted to see if anyone installed any 3M tape mounted rear lid spoiler and if it stays on solid. Thanks

For those of you who have the lip spoiler, how well is it attached at the two outer edges? My dealer has it on a showroom demo, and it seems like the outside edges wiggle while the rest of the spoiler is very secure. Just wondering how well yours are attached.

Thanks!

great thread...i nearly had to order a 2012 but my dealer had a gray manual w/nav ordered for another customer which fell thru, so i now will be getting that model which i wanted and not have to wait!

anyway, this car im taking now(should be here in 2 weeks or so) does not have the lip spoiler which i wanted....so Ill be adding it myself....I'm also adding the Votex front spoiler.

here is where i found the best prices on the net for spoilers or any VW parts for that matter.

Front votex spoiler(Plat gray) $474.50 Part #:5C5-071-609-A-D7X

Rear Lip spoiler(Plat Gray)
$248.20 Part #5C5-071-641-A-D7X

I was always under the impression BOTH these spoilers attached with a GLUE of some sort, not two sided tape.

I know for sure the front one uses a glue, which im still trying to locate(i did see some on ECS tuning)

anyone verify for sure the rear lip uses two sided tape?.....if so,does it come pre attached to the spoiler or do i need to order tape?

BTW these were by far best prices ive found online!

thanks!
Dan
