Can I fit a AXR turbo on BEW

I need to replace the turbo on my 2005 jetta with BEW TDI and i found a turbo for a 2006 AXR TDI and i was wondering whether it would fit

AXR is a kp39 turbo and the BEW is a Garrett ? They will swap over but the kp39 is a downgrade in terms of performance !! Best get a golf pd130 gt1749va or a Garrett 2.0 tdi turbo and swap hot sides... a bit of machining is required to get the 2.0 tdi cartridge into the gt1749va hot side, easy to sort on a lathe or careful use of a die grinder !
I have swapped a broken kp39 with a gt1749va on a Mk4 golf estate 1.9 tdi just a few weeks ago. Egr ports needed blanking, but a straight forward swap...
