Company says the high-tech collection can help meet
stringent ’08 Euro 5 emissions. Products include lightduty
diesel particulate filter (DPF) system, heavy duty
selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system, the
Atomizer fuel injection system, thermal regenerator
and thermal enhancer units.
The Scuderi Group demonstrates Air-Hybrid
diesel engine at IAA Hanover. Massachusetts-based
company says design, which uses air storage tank to
recapture energy lost during braking, can reduce or
eliminate need for exhaust treatment, turbocharging &
injectors; can improve fuel efficiency by a third; emits
80% less toxic emissions than today’s engines, and provides
more power. Prototypes to be ready by late ’07.
