2002 New Beetle, GLS TDI, 5-speed manual.
Runs well, relatively low miles (141,xxx), 1 owner. Complete maintenance records available for 2002-2020. Regular service and repair done at Independent Auto Werks, Corvallis, OR (https://www.independentautowerks.com/). Non-smokers, no accidents, clean title. Currently getting about 40mpg in town and 47mpg on highway. My wife drove this car daily until 3 months ago when she “went electric” and bought a LEAF. Intake manifold cleaned 11/21/18, serpentine belt and idler pulley replaced 02/11/19. Exterior clear coat is in excellent shape. Interior good, less than average wear, all gauges work. New tires. Until recently the car “lived” in the garage. Salt is not used on roads in winter where we live here in Oregon.
Issues:
Passenger-side power door lock module needs to be replaced.
Timing belt and water pump replaced at 81k miles but that was 9 years ago and since these timing belts are rubber it needs to be replaced soon.
The only other needed scheduled maintenance is a brake fluid change.
