Greetings fellow vw/audi lovers,
I purchased a genuine vcds a couple of weeks ago and today i decided to play with things i dont quite understand yet(i intend to). As the title says, i reseted some values and now my car is a bit sluggish, delayed throttle response and very rough and loud when accelerating. MFD is also reporting huge fuel consumption, over 7l/100km. [Back]

I tried to assign values again using VCDS ‘adjust minimum deviation quantity’ but the car was revving for over an hour and i had to keep the footbrake pressed and my foot eventually just gave up lol

The first part of doing anything with this tool is doing a scan and saving the results. That way when you are in your situation you have the info to reset back to what you started with. Did you do that first?

Actually, i didnt. I was told that updating the software via odis is the only way now.
Though, can someone explain whats the function of ‘minimum deviation’ setting then cause that has to be the opposite of ‘reset minimum deviation quantity’?
