W wickd_1 Member Joined Jan 25, 2012 Location marathon, ontario TDI 98 jetta tdi Jan 28, 2012 #1 so i was replacing the glow plugs on my 98 jetta and one snapped off right at the head. Is there a way to get it out without taking off the head? Help

TDI 2004 pd 5 speed tip Jan 28, 2012 #2 http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=221087 the additional step is drilling out the old GP, personally I would take it to a skilled mechanic drilling out the gp on my car took these steps raise the cylinder in question to TDC lock the engine to prevent it from turning over remove injectors etc as shown above gently connect compressed air to the injector hole get another guy to hold a shop vac over the gp start the air and start drilling, hopefully the drill chips blow out the head and dont stay in the cylider repair cylinder head as above
