Default Brad penn GL4 Gear OIL

Hey Guys,

I wanted some advice. I am going to change my st-lube gear oil to something not so thick because I have trouble shifting in the winter. Does anyone know of a cheap GL4 oil for a 2004 vw tdi manual transmission? I found this one looks pretty cheap but am not sure if anyone has any good experience with it?

See the thread in this sub-forum on synchormesh gear oil.

I just switched over to valvoline synchromesh and it was just under $9 per quart.

Why is cheap so important? quality and stability should come first.

Hey, everyone knows that transmissions are cheaper than gear oil. The OP could probably get used fry grease for free.

-OR-

The OP could get the right stuff and skip the science experiment of trying one sub standard product after another: https://www.idparts.com/oem-070-manu...id-p-1438.html
