Wow those grey wheels look amazing!
I still prefer the Blade, but the grey "Rotary" wheels are 18", so the Blades are set aside for me.

The Rotary is also available in gloss black, which looks magic, but I don't want to go over 17".

Steering wheel is off but the upholsterer was closed Friday :-(

Try again Monday. The wheel is actually very light.

The steering wheel was picked up today and reinstalled.

Bad news is the Auto Light Switch may not happen, too hard. Switch is easy, mounting the sensor in the mirror housing, not so easy. Housing is bonded to the windscreen.

Anyway; here is the completed interior.

Not a fan of the interior at all but it's not my car :)
Thank you for you feedback.

The interior is very similar to the original other than;

1. Leather instead of cloth.
2. The blue is a bit darker.
3. Gear lever boot is now blue.
4. Steering wheel is now 2 tone.

The interior is similar to the original but now with a little personalization from me.

I'm pretty happy with the results given the criteria I imp[osed at the beginning.

Man your car has turned out great. I thought you would have used the same color thread as the seats in the headrest though. Where did you get the wolf caps?

Updates to where it is now;

Wolfsburg Caps on.

[

Bluetooth.

RNS510 with CD player.

VW reversing camera. This truly has made reversing a simple task.

Finally the Sat Nav. No more portable devises on the windscreen or dash.

Also shows on the MFC.

Blue tinted LED lights. They are surprisingly good for overall vision. I bought them on Ebay.

Wow, quite the transformation of your car. Personally I like what you've with the interior as far as upgrading to leather on the seats and I really like the blue LEDs for the interior lighting. I may have to copy you on that.

I think the car will look better with the new rims you picked up. Post up some pics when you get them mounted.

Your not the first to say that. I agree, but it will take me a little time to get used to them.

I like those wheels too.

Great car with some cool mods, I bought a stock white Bluemotion second hand last year.

I love it except for the DPF cycle, I've read up on other forums about it, was wondering if you had any issues, particularly when it goes into the cycle cold? I am guessing you didn't do a DPF delete...

Does the Oettinger module make much difference? Clearly it doesn't seem to make the fuel economy worse.

Hallo Scotty,

I have never even noticed the DPF on ours. Most probably because of the frequent long trips and that I use 2 stroke oil in the Diesel, so I haven't needed to touch it.

I had the Oettinger fitted not long after we bought this Golf as it was a success on our Mk V 1.9TDI. The Golf has some great overtaking ability now.

I also paid a lot of attention to the running in process on this car, more so than any other car I've owned. I hope it will help during my ownership.

Fuel economy has been really good considering the hurdles I've thrown on this Bluemotion with the added weight of the space saver spare & the bigger wheels (which weigh 20.5 Kgs against 14Kgs for the standard wheels).
