Golf R steering wheel swap

Hey everyone.

I would like to swap out the wheel in my 15 Golf TDI, to hopefully a wheel out of a 2018 Golf R.

Should fitment be fine like a GTI wheel would be?

Only difference should be the R logo...

Obviously the airbag is different, but as for actual install and connectors, it's an easy 10-minute job. The airbags pop off on the Mk7 **so** much easier than they did on the Mk4.

If you have a DSG, the paddles on a "R" wheel will work without any coding, but the cruise control won't work if you have normal CC on your wheel, but the "R" wheel has adaptive cruise control.

I have a post on here somewhere about swapping the buttons - not too difficult, but certainly adds time to the process.

The golf R wheel just doesn’t come with the airbag, so I need to see how costly it is to source one.
