I bought the car for $4500 several years ago, tires, shocks, suspension, tandem pump, flange, sensor, all new motor mounts, O-rings to stop oil leaks, still need valve cover gasket, lane change module, spare ECU, used BSM, CCM, TCM, immobilizer delete. I'm now at $7200. I'm at 175K miles, In 2 years will need timing belt, hoses look shabby, change all fluids, if I need a transmission, that's another $5000. I've always said on the forum I would own an 05 TDI, I have always done my own work but now if I'm under the car, its a problem when I slide out and try to get up. Time to hang up the wrench's, I'm getting old like the car.
