2004 Golf GL 5 speed manual
Hello, I am former TDI owner (2004 GolF TDI S Manual ) that I sold in 2011.
I missed the car very much. I currently drive a Mercedes E class Diesel w210. Nice car but fuel economy not as good as the Golf.
I found a 2015 Passat SE Manual transmission for sale locally. I will like to know if There is Really a fix for manual cars?
I read that VWAG said that there s not fix for Manual cars but I m not quite sure.
The dealer said that the car was fixed already by VWAG but I m not sure about it since I have not seem the car yet.
What are my options If I want to keep it?
Will I have to sell it back to VWAG ?
and if yes, will I recuperate my money.
I thanks in advanced for all your valuable help.

Thanks

2015 manuals have a fix. Mine was done a long time ago. It would really surprise me if you could find any 2015 TDI for sale that hadn’t already been fixed. Who would pass up the fix money before letting it go?

Yeah, 2015s are fixed and have a great warranty.

Talk them down on price and go for it!

- There is no fix for 2012 - 2014 manual Passats. 2015s have a fix available
- If fix has been done, you have one option - drive it (with a good extended warranty). You cannot sell it back to VW after the fix has been performed.

Pretty simple.

And, fwiw, there is *NEVER* a requirement to take the buyback . . . .

requirement? he can always keep the car an motor on like nothing happened, yeah his pocket will be heck of a lot lighter but he'll still be driving a car no other on the roads will be able to match.
