Volkswagen's new MQB strategy explained

Apparently we will be getting more models and even niche models.

I have been disappointed that it is so difficult getting HID lights for my 2011 JSW as the aftermarket does not have a high-performance and cost effective solution. With the MQB strategy this should be no longer.

I don't know if this would cure the lack of HID lights situation directly. Surely the best way to get a great price on HID components is to buy a zillion of them. But then you are faced with the problem of what to do with the zillion minus the one set you actually need.

I was not worried about the HID lights for my Golfs, but now that my wife is driving a 2003 NB, I have started looking for some for it. The OEM lights on that car are dismal. VW should be ashamed of themselves for selling them that way.
