If you have this, or a similar problem when doing a conversion (oil cooler line pointing directly at your bell housing)

could you use this to fix that problem?

will this part fit an ALH? will my coolant sensor plug in with the stock clip? If so, is it only available from international sellers?
is there a better option?
Thanks in advance.

There are just too many to list....
Just use your existing type flange, and cap that nipple with these two parts:

055-121-324 cap
N-016-402-1 clip

sorry, I should have explained more. That is just a picture I found on google for reference.
In my application, theres a transmission cross member right where that downward facing nipple is. This is for a bay window bus.

I had one made CNC custom. Was $pendy. If you can find an OEM part that works, that would be great.

That flange looks like the one I used on my TDI swap. I don't know the part number of the one I used as I just grabbed it at a u-pick.

I have a 1Z engine which is a different issue. The 1Z flange points straight back towards the trans. My custom one makes a tight 90 degree turn towards the exhaust. I have a pic in my thread somewhere.

Archemitis,
How did you resolve this? I broke my coolant flange while installing a new tranny. The flange is too close to adapter. I have 1.9 ALH out of a 2002 new beetle.

The one with only 2 pipes is a brm one. Idparts has it for ~$15. Mine is flipped. Haven't put coolant to it yet though. The seal is fully covering the head though

Has anyone tried 06a 121 132 yet? fits early 2.0 gasoline "AWD" and "AWW" code engines, but also looks like it'll solve an exhaust clearance issue on my insight.
Ordering one tomorrow to try, will update with results.

AWD and AWW are 1.8T engine codes, not 2.0. These fit AEG and AVH engines, respectively.

I was just going with the ECS tuning page's application data

Actually found one in my stash of "broken but good for mockups" parts (good god I have issues, somebody tie me up and throw all this garbage away)

right side up the heater hose is still where I don't want it, and the coolant temp sensor is mashed against the vacuum pump
upside down it could probably be helpful to someone at some point however. Just not on a transverse application as it points the rad hose the wrong way.

Looking more and more like I'm going to be making my own coolant outlet for the insight.
