85k with no history of transmission service

A buddy of mine is looking at a 13 passat and the transmission has never been serviced. If he buys it we are going to do the service right away. How big of a risk are we taking here?

Some risk of premature clutches failure and accelerated gear wear. If the car is a good buy I'm not sure I'd see it as a deal breaker.
