Daughter is moving there in Jan 08...needs contact for a good independant shop or guru for her 06 jetta TDI also for snow tires and wheels.

Appreciate any advice to pass on.

Hi Ted,

I am in the Springs and a new TDI owner. I just had some car trouble today and took it to one of the local VW dealerships here in town. I'll let you know how it works out... so far they are a lot nicer than the dealership that I bought my car at in Denver. Also, in the forum section labelled TDI 101, the fourth post down has a list of trusted mechanics by state. They list this:

European Performance Specialist

406 S. Sierra Madre St
Colorado Springs, CO 80903
(719) 475-1046, Loren

Hope that helps you!

Snow tires

Hopefully you've already put on snow tires, given this very wintry winter! But if not, you might want to check out the Green Diamond tires. I don't have a set yet, but they look like a great option--without the concerns of studded tires, and even better traction. There's bound to be an outlet in Colorado Springs. Check out: www.greendiamondtire.com

Would appreciate hearing from anyone who has tried these in person.

Thanks!
