Wow indeed.
The article states that there's a software feature that should be disclosed and then approved by EPA. Perhaps VW is just playing it safe here. You know they want to start selling cars ASAP, with everything else going on. Sort of does make you wonder, though, whether EPA will make the '16s pass in-use emissions testing prior to giving the OK.
