CAR IS SOLD 12/13/8 1pm

Thanks.

I bought this car today off the original owner. I haven't even looked it over yet. Needs some body work(rust). Couple doors, a fender, wheel well.

No CEL but a light for the seatbelt (or something is on between the battery and glow plug lights).

Runs and shifts very good. Timing belt done 20k or so ago.

So far my favorite thing is that it smells like a diesel unlike my 2001 TDI.

Anyways I don't need this car. I got it for what I considered to be a fair price.

If you're in the local Pittsburgh area and would like to take a look at it PM me.

I hope to check it out a bit late in the week. But I've put about 30 miles on it and it drives excellent. Inspection ran out last month.

No pics yet (it's dark outside!). Not pristine but probably an excellent runner. Seems to be a somewhat rare car. By that I mean I look for TDI's and certainly don't see many Passat TDI wagons around here.

I know nothing of this model TDI.

No PM's yet. I just took some quick pics in a rainstorm. I've never uploaded pics here.

Until I get the time to figure that out PM ME!!! With an email and I'll send you some pics and some more info.

This is the last warm day for a while so I doubt I'll get the pics posted today but I can email them.

I'll go looking for pic posting instructions now.

Thanks for posting the pics. The drivers side is by far the worst. The rest is fine except a little bubbling on the LR wheel well.

It comes with the original owners manual. No keyfob - don't know if it originally had one or not. One key for the door and another real VW key for the replaced ignition(real VW ignition switch).

4 new winter tires.

Factory am/fm/cassette and controls for CD played but I don't think it has one.

No idea about AC.

So it's obviously been dealer serviced.. Not necessarily a 'plus'.
Don't wait too long to get it checked out by someone that knows these cars.

Actually it was serviced by an independent VW guy who recently quit the biz due to health reasons. He had done all the work from what the original owner said until a year or so ago.

Thanks for posting the pics again. Where are the instructions on posting the pics so that I don't have to rely on others to do so?

I may take an inside pic or two today.

You just closed it, there is no way for you to make it go away.
