Hello there, I wanted to help the community out with this problem I had with my 2011 passat I would think this will be the same for all of our passat / NMS
Below is the fault that I had on my passat it would not clear and since this did not affect anything I left it however as some of you know my passat went in for other work to be done and upon reading the paper work I noticed that they had put that they fitted a new parking break switch so I looked in the car and sure enough with the ignition on and when the parking break is on there is a yellow light lit. When I had the car I (2nd owner) it never lit up I did not know it had one until this was fixed.
So if you get this fault code it means that the little yellow light is not working and you need a new switch or do a repair on the light if you can.
