Yes 250 hp on many cars.
300 and 350 hp are total mystery still but I don't say they aren't doable with the three-piston pump, at least.

I have my 2001 AKE engined A6q sitting at a dyno'd 195.5bhp/145.6kW @ 3960rpm, 290lbft/393Nm @ 2660rpm with a Turbochip, all the top end is brand new after the dreaded cam failure and a recon standard turbo after an oil pump failure. If you guys want to specify nozzles; nozzles plus remap; nozzles plus turbo mod plus remap; i am happy to start working my way through it and see what happens. I don't want to sacrifice the bottom end response for all out bhp mind.

bosio race nozzles, fmic and a 2359 from merc or maybe 2260 if you don't wanna sacrifice bottom end respounse should be more then enough to go last over 250 hp and pray that the cam will not fail again:)

It will fail again. It's not if but when, as even the newest cams shows the same weakness, although it might last longer than the original ones.

OK lads i'll start by looking for some nozzles this weekend
Oh and thanks for the good news about the cams by the way - not. The first set lasted 156k miles so here's hoping these ones do too.

Remember to keep revs over 1400 because the low oil pressure on cams.
It's one of reasons that is involved with the cams failure.

It's not about horsepower - the torque is the main thing you need to
notice. For example:

900nm @ 2000rpm ~ 250hp
600nm @ 3000rpm ~ 250hp
450nm @ 4000rpm ~ 250hp
350nm @ 5000rpm ~ 250hp

Stock clutch should do around 500nm @ 3000rpm very fine.
I have 470nm @ 2500 atm and working perfectly.

Er, 1400rpm isn't normally a problem with my driving....
Good news about the clutch thankyou
Does the VPN44 fuel pump sort itself out when the new nozzles are installed, or will it need attention?

Not found Bosio stockist in UK yet and Mr Bosio is "out of office", back next week. If no UK dealer will have to buy abroad. Could always go to italy for the weekend, hmm. Have looked up those turbos on Garretts website (very interesting reading). Cannot find an off the shelf FMIC for mine yet so will probably need to get one made unless someone knows another that will fit without major butchery of the front of the car. Have had a couple of recommendations for workshops who can assemble all this and remap but they are very thin on the ground down in the far SW of England.

You could use something of the lines of which Shadowmaker is using or has used in the past.........gt2360v gt2556v gt28v gt35v etc would all work on your V6 motor.
i think i've given up on the idea of making my 701s capable of 260bhp because the costs is to high. £700:eek:

any other turbo which can do the job perfectly?

depends on your goal,if you want a 260 hp car ...a used 2360 would be a cheap way to do it...and since you have a v6 engine i don't think there'll be much lag...

would a hybrid 701s work much better then a 2360v?
Depends on what is the meaning of hybrid?

If it means that both the axle with turbine and compressor wheel are changed, then yes.

But it will cost the £700.

You can machine turbine housing to fit a GT22 turbine, thats no problem, and give it a 60mm compressor, but on the other side you could just buy a GT2260V...

Noise, oil consumption, drop off in power. Some people have had a sudden failure where the cam has broken. Mine had some broken followers when it was opened up. If they are on the way out the wear is very conspicuous. If you are concerned then lift the cam covers and have a look, and if you are considering mods i would say this is a pre start requirement rather than an option. As the Skoda garage down the road from you in Penryn did mine only at Christmas they would be able to tell you very quickly if there's a problem.
