rattling sound

the word "automatic" seems to be the problem here.

So between 1200-1400 rpm's my car makes a really loud rattling sound coming off the driver side. It happens at other low rpm's but a lot less frequently. I'm 99.9% sure that this is a transmission issue, but I don't exactly know what and I don't know my way around transmissions very well. Could it be a torque converter issue? I still have good power and shifts nice into all of the gears. I should mention it occasionally happens in park, but its a very even rattle. Anything helps.

Thanks to anyone who responds. Really helps me out. Ben

Might be harmonic vibration. Have you inspected your CV axles yet?

No, haven't done much yet as I don't really have time right now - working too much. I'll probably check it out tomorrow, hopefully it's just harmonics

Can you get someone to work the go pedal and cause the vibration?
Might be easier to find.
I've found a few rattles by hitting things in the area.
By hand or lightly with a rubber mallot.
