MFD display add on screens? like remote display for radar detector?

Ok, I thought it would be really awesome to have the V1 detector mounted in the rear of the JSW, and then have the remote display up at the front out of sight.

BUT, is there a way to interface with the MFD screen so the radar detector could put an output on the screen?

When I plugged in my 9W3 it added a screen to the MFD, is there a commercially available way to add functions to the MFD?

I think you need to have the man unit mounted on the front windshield for optimal effectiveness. But using the remote display will allow you to place it slightly higher and to the right of the rearview mirror making it slightly less visable, while still having a clear line of sight.

I'm wanting to see if the V1 remote display would work just below the shifter.

I don't know about adding interface to the MFD, but it sounds doubtful.

If you were in the mood to program a chip, or chip set, you might wanna try to make a interface to make V1 mimic the signal produced by 9w3. That way it will display on MFD if programmed correctly.
