Too many projects, too many cars. Something has to give. I'm selling my 1997 Passat. I bought it with plenty of needs. Now, 7 years later, it has virtually no needs at all save for a saggy headliner and the inop AC recirc. the AC blows cold though. I have done all work myself and I know this car from end to end, from top to bottom.
No rust, decent body, good paint.
GLX leather seats except the driver which is vinyl.

timing belt done 1,000 miles ago.
The car has absolutely no fluid leaks, the clutch is smooth and strong. The 5-speed transmission shifts perfectly in all gears, the car tracks straight with no vibrations. All guages work. Gets between 42 and 48 mpg. No check engine light. This s about the best running B4 you ae likely to find in the Bay Area.
I have many extra parts including a freshly machined bare 1Z block that has been decked flat and bored oversize (spec sheet in hand) DFIS rebuilt injection pump, new stock camshaft, all timing belt tools and the vagcom cable.
I'm asking $5,000 or $6,000 with all the extra parts and tools.
