Well, HAWK pads have not disappointed me again. I installed them last Friday on my TDI and they perform just like the ones on my ZO6 and Excursion. I was amazed how easy the install went. The hardest part was turning the piston back in on the rear calipers. But I had the right tool and opened the bleed valve and all went well. Bedding the pads was easy and with HAWK pads must be done per the directions or they will not perfom properly. 6 to 10 moderate stops from 30 to 35 MPH followed by 3 to 4 hard stops (no wheel lock up) from 40 to 45 MPH followed by 20 minute cool down.
FYI - the HAWK front pads has the VW wear warning wiring for both sides. The VW pads has the wear warning wiring only on the drivers side. I just cut the wires off on the passenger side.
