140+ round trip commute to work 5 days a week to start. Then add in the ~16,000 miles per year of driving for other reasons and it comes out to around 1,000 per week.

Needless to say, I LOVE to drive.

9% of your awake time, assuming 8hrs of sleep... To travel to/from work. You must love your job, or love your house.

Then again... There are people who travel to/from their job in Toronto to the tune of 4hrs/day.

That's getting a bit.. Umm... Dumb?

I live driving too. Logged over 120,000km last year. This year'll be a little less.

I do love my job. This is just a temporary situation though.

We are currently saving as much as possible for a down payment on a house in the town where I work. It would actually cost more for us to rent somewhere closer than it does to stay where we are and drive back and forth.
