2nd Generation 3.0 TDI training manual. The manual mentions 2 CP4.2 high pressure fuel pumps, misprint?

The piezo injectors are connected to the extremely short, forged
rails by stainless steel lines designed to withstand injection pres-
sures of up to 2000 bar. Rail pressure is produced by two CP4.2
dual-plunger high pressure pumps with an aluminium casing.

The manual also mentions a new type of DPF substrate promoting longer intervals between regens.

:rolleyes: This 3 year old training document has a typo. There's only one CP4.2 as evident in the illustrations.

Where did you get the manual date? I am looking for information on the newest generation 3.0 TDI in the Audi Q5 TDI, do you have a link for that?

The Q5 TDI as currently sold in North America? Basically the same engine as the one in the pdf you posted. I do have the training doc of the 3rd gen Bi-Turbo V6 TDI, but it's not on this computer I'm using now. That 3rd gen engine is only available in some big Audis sold in europe anyway.

The data on that document is in the lower left corner of the last page.

Yes, the US version is what I am after. The PDF I posted matches the description Audi engineers covered in this video and indicate this is a new design. They mention previous application in Euro models but don't give any specific design age.
