Looks like the return line from the tank to leaking. Looks like I will need to drop the tank in order to do the replacement. Where is the best place to buy the correct lines? I looked at partsgeek.com but they didn't have the TDI engine as one of the ones they offered.

There are just too many to list....
Make sure the line is actually what is leaking. Because I have never seen that. I have seen some cracked nipples leak though.

In any event, Volkswagen will be able to get you anything you need... or should be able to anyway.

1J0-201-294-D is the short fuel return line that goes above the tank to the sender unit (the blue one).

I was having air bubble issues in my fuel lines so I thought to replace lines , o rings etc...

You can buy lines from the fuel tank to the front engine compartment under the car from idparts.com for $85 plus shipping.

You can probably get the parts from a dealer also but my guess is that they would be bigger $$ there.

Hope this helps you
