I am wondering how I can Align the R150 trans to the motor using a dial indicator. So I can put dowels in an adapter.

It appears that the opening where the bell housing meets the trans. isn't a round circle to dial off of. Does anyone have a link or advice how to align it?

Im still in the planning stages so I haven't picked up a Trans yet.

Thank You

you'll need an extra r150/ax15/ma5/nv3550/etc main case to use as a sacrifice,,, you basically slice off the front of the case and use the front input bearing bore to dial indicate in ... you could remove your main case and dial indicate inside that but setup room might be an issue

I second borrowing the slice. Worked like a charm

I did my W56 without cutting anything. Just pulled the front case off a spare trans and bolted it to the bellhousing. Once I was done I reassembled it.
