Hi,

Have a 2003 Jetta wagon. I want to put taller tires on the car for mpg boost and to correct speed-o. Have put 205/70R15 (1" taller than stock) on my golf and they worked fine, 2.5 mpg boost and corrected speed-o (used to read 4 mph fast, now 1 mph fast per GPS) I want to try 215/70R15 (1.5" taller than stock) Wondered if anyone has tried this and if they fit??

205/75/15's fit, but rub at the ends of the steering travel as well as kiss the rear fender liner at long travels. They'll fit with a suspension lift, but you've still got steering clearance issues.

215/70/15 will be very similar depending on brand/model

205/70/15 fits with no issues as you've found.

Mine hit on the 9:00 and 3:00 positions during full steering lock so wheel spacers should help, but it's close to the inside of the fenders as well when the suspension is compressed so it's really close.
