Rebates on Mobil oils through 12/31/18...

Hi folks! Figured I'd give a heads up if anyone uses Mobil synthetic diesel oils in your TDI's or other diesels.... the rebate is from 3/1/18-12/31/18. Two that I'd use are the 1 gallon jugs-Delvac 1 ESP is a $12/gallon rebate,10 maximum, and Mobil 1 TDT, $10/gallon rebate, 10 maximum. I was at a Runnings store and they had the Delvac 1 full synthetic ,shelf tag said $18.99 a gallon. They had 8 jugs,I got all 8. My rebate will be $96. So a gallon for me is only $6.99(plus tax). Oh, and doesn't apply to purchases on Amazon.com.....

That is a great price and a great rebate. Mills Fleet Farm (MN, WI, IA) has Delvac 1 ESP for $24.50, so only $12.50/gallon with the rebate.

Wallyworld has Delvac 1 ESP online for $21.68/gal with free shipping on orders over $35. That's ~ $10/gal after rebate.

Be careful, Walmart wasn’t listed as a participating store on the rebate site.

No. It meets ACEA E9 and E7, and API CK-4, along with a number of heavy-duty truck specs such as Mack, Volvo, Cummins, Caterpillar, and Detroit. As far as I know, Mobil has never submitted either Delvac 1 or TDT to VAG for testing. You will have to decide for yourself if or when you decide to use a non-approved oil in your CR engine.

Delvac 1 ESP 5w40 used to be considerably more expensive than M1 Turbo Diesel Truck; I remember seeing it priced around $40/gallon at some truck stops a few years ago. But there are clearly many outlets where Delvac 1 ESP can now be found in the $20-$25 per gallon range, which is an outstanding price for what is arguably the best diesel engine oil ever. At the local Fleet Farm stores, TDT is about $1/gallon more than Delvac 1 ESP.

I still have five gallons from when I stocked up during the previous rebate program. I'll be buying some more to take advantage of the current rebate.

I think I lucked out on my price. The shelf tag said $18.99/gallon( and I made sure I read it correctly)-when I went to check out it came up $24.99/gallon. I told the cashier the shelf tag said $18.99, she had someone check and verified it. I still need to submit the form for rebate, was thinking of going back to see if they got any more in or changed shelf tag price. I'd like to get 2 more gallons for the max of 10..... wondering if I can use in my Kubota BX1870.....
