Door latch problem after door bonk

So I got the door bonk issue after a cold frost and now my door will only close to the first click.

Any tips on what I need to adjust? I'm in a bit of a hurry so any tips are much appreciated.

A quick look reveals the plastic on the door striker is not there, I'm guessing that's my issue!

It will seem odd, but when I experience door bonk on cold mornings or nights, I put my mouth around the latch on the door and breath hot air on it, like you are creating fog on a window. I'm sure it looks odd, but hey, it works, and I can do it while keeping my seatbelt on.
