As the proud owner of a new fully licenced vag-com, I am stumped. I have read VCDS' online info and searched around here, but have yet to find a "how to" use this that details all the channels, what to graph/log, etc when troubleshooting various items specific to our cars.
I did find this useful guide on how to setup logging in general
http://www.mjbmotorsport.com/datafaq.html
Plus this demo/guide from Ross-Tech
http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/tour/main_screen.html
This vehicle specific list for my car
http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/cars/vwmkIV.html
and the VCDS Wiki has some details
http://wiki.ross-tech.com/index.php/Diagnostic_Procedures
and this great starting point at VWVortex
http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1201719
But still no basic how to on:
1) What to log if your turbo doesn't "feel" right
2) Logging to determine N75 issues
3) Logging/graphing for over boost/fuel issues.
4) Logging boost levels
5) Logging performance, 0-60, quarter mile...
6) What to log after I install a chip, do the hammer/Evry/whatever mod..
7) etc
I would just like to establish a baseline for my car and see how it is operating today, so I can use that to troubleshoot later. What should I log?
