I'm buying an 06 golf 2.0 tdi 6sp with 200k's on the clock that needs a transmission rebuild.
To do this we are going to remove the whole engine and trans and work on the bench.
I have a few questions:
Is there any particular brand of trans rebuild kit & clutch kit that are recommended (I'm in Australia if that makes a difference)?
What should I replace and what maintenance should I perform on the engine while I have it out?
What Mods should I think about performing while I have the engine out (so far I have boost gauge and exhaust temp sensor)?
