jetta tdi 06 brm camshaft senson

i have a take out below and behind oil filter, take out 228-140 vw and others state 3 wire camshaft sensor, only problem no 3 wire there, only 2 and losed old sensor, see if i find a sensor wire there key hot and ground and then install a 3 wire sensor. by i checked volts on d connector . with plud lock on top the voltage was on left 16.8 on right it was 8.2, the car was off where the 16.8 volts come from please. Thanks

The sensor below and behind the oil filter is the crank sensor. Cam sensor is in the area of the timing belt.

You should start with telling us your problem, and trouble codes. And try to use clear communication, with clear questions.
