My driver's side finally wore out in spite of my carefully stopping the window from hitting bottom whenever I opened the window.

Anyone with a stash out there?
Sources / vendors for UNUSED lifter?

Are you talking about the complete regulator mechanism or the electric motor?

Several years back I had a source but they all got crushed out and that JY has zero B3/4 cars now. I considered it a complete waste when they did that, there was still a bunch of stuff there that is now hard to find.

i bought a new one on flea bay a couple years ago....but they don't include the "U" shaped guide at the rear of the regulator...I had to fabricate one.

Do the B3 and B4 both use the same window regulator 3A0 837 461?

Yes, they share the window lifter but the motor is different.

Fortunately, my motor is still working well. It is the soft metal teeth on the lifter that have been worn down. Please check your PM.

Yes, if your motor is working you'll be fine if you can find a good lifter assembly and just swap that over.

I got no new PM's.
