What kind of materials should I ?

What kind of degreaser should I use to clean up the EGR valve on my TDI? And what are the procedures??
Another question: I only get 37 MPG on my car. What can I do to improve it?

Move farther away from your workplace, so you have a nice long commute.

Also, increase air pressure in your tires (85% of the max PSI printed on the sidewall), turn off your air conditioner, drive slower...

Okay, forget about driving slower with the AC off, and forget about moving. 37 mpg is below normal, but it's not horrible. I think in Florida you will never get great fuel economy in the summer.

Monitor your mileage and report back in January.
